BBQ Chickpea Tacos (vegan, oil-free)

Hello friends!

BBQ chickpea tacos are here and omg your mind is going to be blown! I can’t believe how amazing these turned out.

The smokiness and sweetness from the bbq sauce, the creaminess of the sour cream, the heartiness of the chickpeas and crunch of the cabbage truly make these tacos a flavor bomb.

I am so excited to have teamed up with Mother Raw for this recipe blog! I have been a fan of their bbq sauce for a while and I knew I had to make a recipe with it.

The sour cream takes about 10 minutes to make and its 100% worth it. Made from cashews instead of dairy, this sour cream is way healthier for you. In addition, it adds the perfect amount of coolness + creaminess to the bbq chickpea tacos and is very complimentary of the bbq sauce

Cilantro ties the tacos together…let’s be honest, you can’t have an authentic taco night without cilantro. Fresh herbs are a great addition to any meal and add such a nice brightness to the recipe.

Also, there is a common misconception that cooking vegan food is more expensive. This is totally not true!

This is a very affordable meal to make for the whole family, for your friends or for date night with your partner. Chickpeas are WAY cheaper than meat. Cabbage, corn, and cilantro are also some of the cheapest veggies you can buy at the market.
