Trust me, I have been there too! My freshman year of college, I was caught in a cycle of eating fattening, processed, sugary food, overeating, not getting enough exercise and not taking care of myself the way I should have. I didn’t feel good, and I wanted to feel GOOD again. I not only needed to lose weight but I was suffering from chest pain that no doctor seemed to be able to help me with. I felt sluggish, low energy, fatigued and was using caffeine to keep me going and daily naps after class were a must.
I decided that I needed to take control of my health. After a few months of eating a plant-centered diet, I had dropped 20 pounds and my chest pain was long gone. If I could get healthy in a dorm with limited resources, you can do it too. Don’t let your excuses get in the way of your success.
